Emeli Sande gives away FREE Yamaha Clavinova’s.

Singer Emeli Sandé is launching a pioneering Community Clavinova programme in partnership with Yamaha UK. The aim is to offer groups and organisations an opportunity to receive a brand new Clavinova completely free of charge. The scheme launched this month and closes on January 30th 2015. People are now invited to submit nominations by simply visiting www.uk.yamaha.com and describing how the nominated group or organisation would benefit from the instrument.

Entries will be judged by Emeli Sandé, supported by a team including leading international promoter Harvey Goldsmith CBE, award-winning Radio 2 broadcaster Mark Radcliffe and Jazz legend, composer and bandleader Julian Joseph. Examples of worthy causes include: local charities, village halls, retirement homes and music groups.

Emeli Sandé said of the initiative: “I‘m delighted to be supporting Yamaha’s exciting Community Clavinova programme. Just send us your thoughts on why your nominee should be awarded a Clavinova and – you never know – you might just get one! I’m really looking forward to meeting the winners in London next year.”

Yamaha’s Richard Ashby added: “We are very privileged to be been able to team up with Emeli for the Community Clavinova programme. There are twenty Clavinova pianos up for grabs and entering could not be easier. We look forward to receiving applications from throughout the UK and providing new instruments to the winners.”

Winning groups will be invited to a gala event in London in the new year, where they will personally receive their Clavinova from Emeli and Yamaha’s top management team.
