Footballer Receives Death Threats After Injuring Louis Tomlinson
Gabriel Agbonlahor has received death threats from One Direction fans after injuring boyband star Louis Tomlinson in a fundraising match.
The Aston Villa forward sent Tomlinson crashing to the floor with a very strong challenge at a packed out Celtic Park for Stiliyan Petrov’s charity match.
What ensued was a barrage of abuse for Agbonlahor from the boyband’s fans on Twitter as a tackle in a match to raise money for Petrov’s foundation caused an almighty furore.
Dazed and limping around, Tomlinson requested that he be immediately taken off, before promptly vomiting into his hand.
“It was just one of those things. I’ll apologise to Louis when we meet up with everybody else after the game,” Agbonlahor said of the challenge.
“I know he enjoyed playing in the game and it’s fantastic that he took time out to be here, and the same with everybody who played.”
